I have eaten there the last two times i was in Venice, and the food was great, but was very saddened by the way I was treated when i tried to make reservations for lunch. When I am in Murano, I am working and I do not dress up fancy, a T-shirt and jeans is my work clothes. When I got to the restaurant before they were open I walked past the menu outside and went to the hostess and said “I would like to make a reservation for lunch”. She asked me if i had seen the menu. I have never in over 30 years have I been asked if i saw the menu. I would think she looked at me and thought I might not be able to afford eating there. I told her that I had eaten here many times and did not need to read the menu. Only because the food is so good did I continue to make my reservation and as it has been in the past, the food was great. But that made me search for another restauarant where I might be treated better and i found Acqua Tanca. After only eating there two times they remembered my name and treated me well. I will be returning to Murano in March next year and will try your restaurant again. I heard that the restaurant changed owners and I hope that no matter what i wear, or how grubby I look, I get treated like everyone should be treated.
