Whilst I explored Phuket, this was hailed at the time by Timeout as the best restaurant in Phuket so I naturally wanted to see for myself. The setting and view was undeniably pleasant and the design of the restaurant had a very clean and simple elegance with again, highly satisfying service. The food was unfortunately a minor dissapointment which was a pity as there was clear skill with the absolute freshness of the rice and I may have just been unlucky on the day but regrettably the impact of the meal has given me no choice but to lower its overall score. It is however, a superb spot and there will undoubtedly be many other wonderful dishes on there and being given a discounted beach chair and umbrella for a couple of hours after the meal was a lovely finishing treat.
Although I only had the favourites of chicken, beef and pork satay and Thai green curry, unfortunately I was not blown away by the food. The satay was absolutely fine, but a feable amount of the sauce was given and even the meat itself was slightly dry. The Thai green curry was very well done but I simply found the sauce too watery and far hotter than the norm to enjoy and whilst appreciating this is actually the authentic way that Thais do one of their flag ship dishes, it was light yes, but too hot to be in love with.
