Michelin starred restaurant within the historic Villa Cimbrone, Rovello
Flauto di Pan is a Michelin starred restaurant set within the historic hotel, Villa Cimbrone, high in the hills of Rovello. Online, it is tasting many only, but as we were staying at the Villa, on passing through on a Saturday night and asking, it turned out there was a table free for just a couple of dishes from the a la carte which is exactly what we wanted (not least to keep expenditure down). Sharing a couple of courses and glasses of wine the total bill came to €177 which, for dinner at this location was nothing short of a miracle. Canapés at the start and petit fours with coffee at the end were well executed I was pleased to see, but the crowning glory of this experience was the best spaghetti I have ever had, made with roasted onion, mahi-mahi and Beluga caviar. I was genuinely blown away and would have had a bucket of this… if it were not being €40 per two spoonfuls. Separately, I wrote details on the experience of staying at this hotel on Instagram, but the summary is do not expect to be able to drive anywhere near it; the hotel itself is a little outdated, but because of its heritage it commands extremely high prices. Therefore, I would only recommend staying here for the view at breakfast and being able to enjoy the infinity balcony on your own an hour before open to the general public.

My hobby-turned-passion began to evolve during my assignments to London where I was fortunate enough to be able to explore all the Michelin starred restaurants in my spare time and as a result, I gradually built up a catalogue of all these venues.
