Authentic Italian trattoria set in the hills of Amalfi
High in the inland walkways of Amalfi lies a charming and picturesque restaurant serving homely dishes. This restaurant is run by a family that has its own lemon farm. Lemons of course is one of the two, fabled products of the Amalfi coast, the other being tomatoes. It was a lovely linguine made with lemon and butter sauce which I have never had before and this was a genuine pleasure. The stand out gem of the restaurant’s collection is the Sfusato Amalfitano IGP, the typical lemon of Amalfi distinguished for its gold colored peel and extremely rich of essential oils. The croquettes were a little stodgy and underwhelming (and cold). However all other pasta related dishes were reliable and after the demanding walk uphill for around 2 miles from the town centre of Amalfi, this was a genuine relief. Whilst I probably wouldn’t trek back here to have a meal, it is a lovely thing to do, in order to see the valley walkways of inland Amalfi and to have something to aim as a treat the end of it. This I would recommend if you are need of an idea.

My hobby-turned-passion began to evolve during my assignments to London where I was fortunate enough to be able to explore all the Michelin starred restaurants in my spare time and as a result, I gradually built up a catalogue of all these venues.
