City Centre restaurant from one of Portugal's celebrated chefs Rui Paula
DOP is one of Porto’s flagship City Centre restaurants by one of Portugal’s most hailed chefs, Rui Paula, who is widely seen to be the founder of modern Portuguese cooking. He also owns DOC restaurant further inland and 2 Michelin starred Case de Cha da Boa Nova. This was a small meal but enough to show that it was reliable cooking from a casual restaurant, but based on its competitor restaurants literally opposite and around (one of which we had been to earlier), it was clear that this was a good option for safe bet cooking with some classic, Portuguese codfish and pasta. The three courses to share with wine came to €79 total, representing good value for money as well. Recommended.

My hobby-turned-passion began to evolve during my assignments to London where I was fortunate enough to be able to explore all the Michelin starred restaurants in my spare time and as a result, I gradually built up a catalogue of all these venues.
