Yoshida Matsuzaka is a restaurant located on the 53rd floor of the Tokyo Opera City building in Shinjuku, specialising in the greatest beef on the planet – Matsuzaka. It is a little tricky to find once in the building which looks more like a shopping mall when you do, and elevators to specific lifts are required, so I have attached photos of these to assist if you wish to visit. The view of the city was obscured on our visit by the worst typhoon approaching Tokyo in 50 years, but the experience did give us the opportunity to experience thinly sliced Matsuzaka in a boiling broth in front of us, along with all the other accompaniments. The beef was as sensational as ever and the other additions on the meal priced £140 per head with beers. Ultimately it was an expensive meal on account of the Matsuzaka and I would recommend having this beef in its teppan grilled form somewhere, such as Dons de La Nature for maximum effect.
