Michelin starred restaurant with stunning views of Istanbul, serving modern, Turkish cuisine.
This is a very good option for modern Turkish dishes with stunning views overlooking Istanbul. The evening a la carte menu was approx £150 per person, which included several canapés and amuse bouches and two glasses of wine and for a spontaneous drop in, I was amazed we gained the table on a Saturday night. What was billed as a three course menu turned out to be a 6 course meal, served with charming hospitality. Highlights included the fresh calamari; braised lamb that had good flavour and a clever saffron ice cream with roasted sesame paste and early harvest Antep Pistachio as a very good dessert. The only dish I would have not opted for in hindsight was the burnt milk and honey ice cream dessert, which was a shame as this was the one I was most looking forward to. As this did not have much honey flavour at all and a was quite bland in general, I opted for the former dessert, which was generously replaced by the staff. Overall, this was a good meal and certainly one to consider if you are in Istanbul and need a steer for something pleasant and with stunning views of the city.
