Newly refurbished pub off the King's Road now with Executive chef James Knappet's behind the menu
The Cadogan Arms is almost an institution of a pub in Chelsea and as of July 2021 was fully refurbished and with a revised menu with 2 Michelin starred Kitchen Table’s James Knappet steering the menu as the other change. Having not been to the previous version I cannot compare however, the pork and sage scotch eggs with shredded piccalilli was done very well and I the king prawns were sweet within the good Marie rose sauce for the cocktail; the liver parfait was indeed enjoyable but good have been set slightly more, the chicken Kiev a touch dry and the sour dough cheese toastie perhaps a little overdone, but I am viewing these items through the lens of expectations greatness. Granted, I did not have a main or desserts, so these were just a few examples of starters and one main and I thought these were good takes, but I thought that the same level of polish on the new banisters and room decor could be applied to the finishing touches on the food for this meal. A revisit will be needed for a more rounded view.
